Speaker:

- Merry Christmas, Springhouse.

Speaker:

Boy, I like to say this before I come.

Speaker:

It's a good day to be in the house of the Lord

Speaker:

and today is certainly no exception, amen?

Speaker:

Amen, it's great to see your faces.

Speaker:

Before I start here, I wanna say,

Speaker:

if you are here this morning

Speaker:

and you don't have a church home,

Speaker:

man, we would so welcome your presence here at Springhouse.

Speaker:

We meet on Sundays at nine o'clock and 11 o'clock.

Speaker:

And if you're looking for a group of people

Speaker:

who are good at not being perfect,

Speaker:

we are your people, right?

Speaker:

Man, we're just on this journey pursuing this King.

Speaker:

And guys, I'm over here just kind of in tears

Speaker:

looking at my family on the front row

Speaker:

and just looking at you all.

Speaker:

And don't you know, there's coming a day

Speaker:

where we are gonna spend eternity under the banner of,

Speaker:

"Oh, come let us adore Him."

Speaker:

It's going to be an eternity with this King,

Speaker:

not just an hour, not just a moment,

Speaker:

but an eternity and we place our hope in Him.

Speaker:

Would you look at somebody who's sitting next to you,

Speaker:

somebody you love and just say,

Speaker:

"You have access to the King."

Speaker:

You have access to the King this morning.

Speaker:

It's not a far-fetched idea.

Speaker:

It's not a dream.

Speaker:

It's not a fairytale,

Speaker:

but you actually do have access to the King of the universe.

Speaker:

First John says this,

Speaker:

"This is the message we have heard from Him

Speaker:

"and declare to you that God is light.

Speaker:

"And in Him, there is no darkness at all.

Speaker:

"And I am so glad this morning

Speaker:

"that the light of the world has come."

Speaker:

The light of the world has come.

Speaker:

When Scripture tells us that God is light

Speaker:

and in Him there's no darkness,

Speaker:

it means there's no deception in Him.

Speaker:

There's no confusion in Him.

Speaker:

There's no instability in Him.

Speaker:

And when Jesus stepped into the world,

Speaker:

He declared, "I am the light of the world."

Speaker:

And He didn't just bring light to us.

Speaker:

He brought light to reside within us.

Speaker:

Jesus has come to be our King,

Speaker:

unwavering, unmovable, unshakable.

Speaker:

The world changes, but this light does not.

Speaker:

People fail, but this light does not fade.

Speaker:

Circumstances shake, but our light does not move.

Speaker:

Our King can be trusted.

Speaker:

Do you believe that this morning, amen?

Speaker:

See, under the old covenant,

Speaker:

the priest used to use light to examine

Speaker:

and to expose, to reveal what was unclean.

Speaker:

And that was faithful work,

Speaker:

but it was not a complete work.

Speaker:

The light kept showing people their sin,

Speaker:

but it couldn't heal it, and it couldn't unite its hearts.

Speaker:

The priest illuminated brokenness and separation,

Speaker:

but Jesus illuminated hope and access.

Speaker:

And He's continuing to illuminate hope

Speaker:

and access into us today.

Speaker:

He showed us what love looks like in a body,

Speaker:

what mercy looks like with skin on it,

Speaker:

what it means to live in truth

Speaker:

without withdrawing from one another.

Speaker:

Listen, sin created separation.

Speaker:

And before this baby King arrived on the scene,

Speaker:

it was all about separation.

Speaker:

But the light stops us from the hiding

Speaker:

so that we can receive the love

Speaker:

that covers a multitude of sin.

Speaker:

And all of this is possible because of the cross,

Speaker:

that the cross has already dealt with,

Speaker:

which once separated us.

Speaker:

Because of Jesus, no longer a priest stands in a grab.

Speaker:

A curtain is no longer making a boundary line.

Speaker:

Holiness is no longer communicating, do not draw near.

Speaker:

Because of Jesus, the veil tore, the barrier fell,

Speaker:

and the distance closed.

Speaker:

Hallelujah.

Speaker:

We no longer stand outside looking in.

Speaker:

We have access because our King made a way.

Speaker:

Not access based on performance.

Speaker:

Not access based on qualification.

Speaker:

Access based on His finished work.

Speaker:

Hebrews 12, 28 tells us we are receiving a kingdom

Speaker:

that cannot be shaken.

Speaker:

Hebrews 4 says, "Let's approach this throne with confidence

Speaker:

because of the access that we have."

Speaker:

And then guys, listen to this in Colossians 1, it says this,

Speaker:

"For He has rescued us and has drawn us to Himself

Speaker:

from the dominion of darkness and has transferred us

Speaker:

to the kingdom of His beloved Son,

Speaker:

in whom we have redemption because of His sacrifice

Speaker:

resulting in the forgiveness of our sin

Speaker:

and the cancellation of sin's penalty.

Speaker:

He is the exact living image,

Speaker:

the essential manifestation of the unseen God,

Speaker:

the visible representation of the invisible,

Speaker:

the firstborn of the preeminent one, the sovereign,

Speaker:

the originator of all creation.

Speaker:

For by Him all things were created in heaven and on earth,

Speaker:

things visible and invisible,

Speaker:

whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities,

Speaker:

all things were created and exist through Him and for Him."

Speaker:

And listen to this, "And He Himself existed

Speaker:

and is before all things, and in Him all things hold Him."

Speaker:

Would you say that?

Speaker:

And in Him all things hold together.

Speaker:

Guys, I don't know about you, but my 2025 was a mixed bag.

Speaker:

I had some of the most phenomenal, supernatural,

Speaker:

wonderful moments, chief among them, Eliana Hope.

Speaker:

But I also had some moments of grief,

Speaker:

had some moments of hardship and real hurt this year.

Speaker:

And as I look into 2026, guys,

Speaker:

I'm not striving to make 2026 the best year ever,

Speaker:

but what I am doing is I'm looking to allow Christ,

Speaker:

the one who holds it together,

Speaker:

to be the center of everything in 2026.

Speaker:

Why?

Speaker:

Because I have access to Him, and so do you.

Speaker:

He is the light of the world.

Speaker:

What you gonna do with your light?

Speaker:

Would you stand with me this morning

Speaker:

with those who are gonna serve the elements come forward?

Speaker:

I can't think of a more appropriate thing

Speaker:

to do this morning.

Speaker:

As we remember His first coming,

Speaker:

to remember that He's going to come again.

Speaker:

His promise the first time was fulfilled,

Speaker:

and He came for our salvation.

Speaker:

The second time He's coming,

Speaker:

there's gonna be no more suffering.

Speaker:

Hallelujah, amen.

Speaker:

And in the waiting, in the in-between,

Speaker:

we get to cling to this hope,

Speaker:

and we have access to this glorious God.

Speaker:

Friends, on the night in which Jesus was betrayed,

Speaker:

He took bread and He broke it with His friends.

Speaker:

And He said, "Take this bread,

Speaker:

"every time you're gathered together,

Speaker:

"and eat this bread, My body in remembrance of Me."

Speaker:

Shortly after, He took the cup,

Speaker:

which represents the blood of the new covenant,

Speaker:

the cup of salvation.

Speaker:

And He said to His friends, "Take this cup and drink it,

Speaker:

"for this is spilt for the remission of your sin."

Speaker:

So that we have the access we were just talking about.

Speaker:

He says, "Every time you're gathered,

Speaker:

"would you drink this cup in remembrance of Me?"

Speaker:

And so Father, we thank You for all the gifts, Lord,

Speaker:

that we are celebrating today.

Speaker:

But the most significant gift,

Speaker:

the very best gift is Your Son, Jesus.

Speaker:

And so this morning, we remember

Speaker:

the gift that came once to save the world,

Speaker:

but the gift that's coming again,

Speaker:

and the gift that keeps giving extraordinarily.

Speaker:

Father, we thank You that there's an eternity

Speaker:

that awaits us, where we truly will come

Speaker:

and adore Him forever.

Speaker:

In Jesus' name, and we all said amen and amen.

Speaker:

Come this morning and receive communion

Speaker:

as we remember Jesus.
